Stiftung Charité is a foundation under public law. It is subject to supervision by the President’s Office of Darmstadt Regional Administration. The foundation is recognized as non-profit-making and is exempted from corporate and trade tax. Dr. Jörg Appelhans and Prof. Dr. E. Jürgen Zöllner belong to the Executive Board.

Note on data protection

Whenever a user accesses a Stiftung Charité page and whenever a file is called up, access data relating to this operation will be stored in a protocol file. Each data set consists of:

  • the date and time of the request
  • the site from which the file was called up
  • the provider via whom the page was requested
  • the web browser used
  • the operating system used
  • the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • the types of files called up
  • the name and size of the file called up
  • the client’s IP address

The data stored will be evaluated exclusively for statistical purposes. They will not be handed on to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes. If the Internet service offers the option to enter personal or business data (Email addresses, names, addresses), exposure of this data on the part of the user will be on an explicitly voluntary basis. Here too, the data will be handled confidentially and not handed on to third parties. The users have the right to request free-of-charge information on the person-related data stored on them. Furthermore, in accordance with the legal provisions, they are entitled to have these person-related data corrected, blocked, and deleted.

Dissociation from links

The online service contains links to other websites. We have no influence on their operators’ compliance with provisions on data protection (see Exemption from liability).
