Open Life Science
Open Life Science became a new funding focus for Stiftung Charité in 2022. Stiftung Charité aims to increase confidence in the life sciences based on new foundations which will consider the general public and societal accountability and participation more than ever before. Stiftung Charité will initially focus on the interface between science and media, with the aim of improving lifescience communication in Berlin and the quality of media reporting on the field.
The aim of the program is therefore to improve mutual understanding among scientists and media representatives, as well as to promote new means of participation for non-academic groups in research, thereby cementing public confidence in the Berlin life sciences as a whole.
