Specifically, the following grantees are included: Prof. Dr. Brian K. Kobilka, Prof. Dr. Thomas C. Südhof and Prof. Dr. John P. A. Ioannidis (all Stanford University, USA), Prof. Dr. David J. Mooney and Prof. Dr. Chris Sander (both Harvard University, USA), Prof. Dr. Edvard I. Moser (Norwegian University of Science & Technology, Norway) and, from Berlin, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Rajewsky (Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine), Prof. Dr. Stefan Anker, Prof. Dr. Gerd-Rüdiger Burmester, Prof. Dr. Christoph U. Correll, Prof. Dr. Andreas Diefenbach, Prof. Dr. Christian Drosten, Prof. Dr. Marcel Müller, Prof. Dr. Friedemann Paul and Prof. Dr. Frank Tacke (all Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) as well as Prof. Dr. Burkert Pieske (formerly Charité).

The complete list comprises 7100 entries and thus around 0.1 percent of scientists worldwide. The company scrutinized 21 subject areas from the fields of medicine, natural sciences, economics and social sciences. In its analysis, it looked at publications that were published between 2012 and 2022 and are listed in relevant databases. More about the survey method here.

What this demonstrates: Stiftung Charité supports or has supported some of today’s most influential scientific figures in medicine and the life sciences.
