At its spring meeting, the Board of Trustees of Stiftung Charité elected a new Chair: Jan Eder takes on the voluntary role with immediate effect, succeeding Professor Jürgen Zöllner, who is stepping down from the position after five years at his own request. Prior to serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees, Zöllner was Chair of Stiftung Charité’s Executive Board from 2012 to 2021. He will remain a member of the Board of Trustees.
Jan Eder joined the Board of Trustees last fall. He is the former Executive Director of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Berlin) and has accumulated extensive experience in committee work and stakeholder engagement – particularly with partners from business and politics – throughout his career.
Stiftung Charité looks forward to working with Jan Eder and thanks Jürgen Zöllner for his wide-ranging contributions to the Foundation and to Berlin's life sciences sector, in both his professional and voluntary capacities.
Short biographies of both individuals can be found on the Organization page.
