The Visiting Fellows 2027 call is now open. Through this program, Stiftung Charité supports long-term scientific collaborations with established or leading researchers from abroad or elsewhere in Germany. Visiting Fellows come to the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, including the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) and the German Heart Center Berlin (DHZC), or the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) for extended research stays. Together with their hosts, they develop a research project of mutual scientific interest and, where appropriate, set up a research group to implement it. By bringing together their different scientific perspectives, experience, and expertise, Visiting Fellows and their hosts bring new ideas and approaches to Berlin’s life sciences. Depending on the stage of the project, three funding tracks offer up to €600,000 over a maximum of three years. Applications can be submitted until January 26, 2027, 11:59 p.m.
