Stiftung Charité’s Board of Trustees has approved funding for five new science x media tandems in its spring meeting. Another three years of funding for the skills-building program Wisskomm@Charité has also been approved. In the tandem program, researchers from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) will collaborate with media professionals to implement innovative science communication projects. The projects cover a broad thematic range, from working with students at schools in disadvantaged areas to enhance their scientific and media literacy, to developing a mental health podcast, to creating a comic for use in patient information in radiology.
