“With the support of Stiftung Charité, an interdisciplinary workshop on periprosthetic joint infection was organized in Berlin. 55 attendees from 22 countries, all international experts in the field of septic surgery, discussed about new treatment concepts and exchanged their experience. This workshop is internationally unique, as microbiologists, infectious diseases physicians, pharmacists, orthopedic and trauma surgeons together discuss complex cases and possible treatment options.”
