“Funding from Stiftung Charité enabled the successful establishment of the Immuno-Epigenetics research group at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) and the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The group's aim is to investigate epigenetic mechanisms in immune cells and harness them to improve cell therapies. By analyzing and interpreting epigenetic profiles during the manufacturing process and in final cell products, the group opens up new avenues for quality control and targeted optimization of cell-based therapeutics. This initial funding was crucial for developing innovative projects, building technical expertise, and acquiring additional third-party funding. The research group thus makes a targeted contribution to the strategic focus area of cell and gene therapy at BIH and Charité.”
