Stiftung Charité is launching xFound, a state-of-the-art digital foundation portal. From now on, you can submit funding applications and access key information about the application process via the portal – responsive, at any time, and from anywhere. Current grant recipients will also benefit from the innovations we are making to our processes: automated workflows will streamline fund management and project administration through to final reporting.
The fully cloud-based portal is now available at https://stc-portal.charite.de. First-time users will need to register with the platform.
Data protection is a particular priority: the online portal meets all GDPR requirements. Your data is stored and processed exclusively within Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin – ensuring maximum security and confidentiality throughout the entire funding cycle.
The foundation software will debut with the call for the Max Rubner Award 2026 and will be gradually extended to additional funding schemes and areas of Stiftung Charité over the coming months. This decision sends a clear signal: innovation and excellence should set standards not only in research, but also in research funding itself.
