"Together with the biennial workshop series on UHF-MR held at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis (USA) - the world leading centre for ultrahigh field MR - our series of UHFMR symposia is a recognized international leader and trendsetter in the field of (bio)medical and diagnostic imaging. The symposium and its scientific program respond to the great need for a European conference series - with Germany, the Netherlands and the UK being among the pioneering drivers of the field of ultrahigh field MR.
To maximize the international outreach and further boost international visibility, the symposia have been endorsed (but not funded) by the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), the European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB) and supported (but not funded) by the German Ultrahigh Field Imaging (GUFI) network.
The Annual Scientific Symposium: Ultrahigh Field Magnetic Resonance - Clinical Needs, Research Promises and Technical Solutions is designed to initiate national and international collaboration and provide plenty of time to engage into fruitful exchange with (inter)national peers and colleagues. Based upon our experience acquired during our 2010-2016 symposia series a minimum of 40% international attendance is to be expected for the forthcoming 8th Annual Symposium (2017). The audience consisted of participants from Europe, for instance, the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and Belgium just to mention but a few. Non-European Countries were, among others, represented by United States, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Egypt and Australia."
